Job Overview

The Department of Environmental and Public Health Sciences at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is seeking a full-time Graduate Program Coordinator. Under the supervision of the Director of Graduate Studies, this position will plan, design, evaluate, coordinate, and modify activities for the graduate programs in the Department of Environmental and Public Health Sciences. This includes, but is not limited to, providing general administrative support, developing/collecting/analyzing student data, initiatives related to recruitment and alumni tracking, and the development/management of social media accounts.

Essential Functions

• Design/create flyers and other materials for seminars, classes, workshops, or programs.
• Assist in the development of program objectives and monitor quantitative and qualitative data on progress toward objectives. Review objectives to identify problems and solutions, prioritize solutions and develop action steps for program improvement.
• Provide administrative support for program initiatives.
• Develop, administer, and analyze assessment/evaluation questionnaires. Compile statistics and prepare reports.
• Develop and implement marketing strategies to recruit students and program participants.
• Interact with staff, faculty, and other university departments.
• May conduct research and analyze relevant literature, other benchmark information to develop grant proposals, new program ideas and propose program changes.
• Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.
• May help manage training grants supporting predoctoral and postdoctoral students.
• Coordinate the Occupational and Environmental Medicine (OEM) Residency Program, including administrative resident support, accreditation evaluations, residency match activities, and GME liaison responsibilities.
• Support OEM program operations and attend occasional meetings outside normal business hours as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Additional Qualifications Considered

• Excellent interpersonal, listening, and written communication skills.
• Computer Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Database management, professionalism, ability to multi-task, efficiency, creativity, organization, prioritization, problem solving, collaboration, program design, and project management.
• Knowledge of University of Cincinnati Registrar and Graduate School policies.
• Experience using University of Cincinnati student information system Catalyst.

• Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
