Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at WPS Behavioral and Counseling Center, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Facilitating Group Therapy: Leading engaging group sessions where clients can connect, share experiences, and support each other’s growth.

• Conducting Individual Therapy: Offering personalized counseling that helps clients explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while fostering coping strategies and actionable plans for change.

• Developing Treatment Plans: Collaborating with clients to create individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans tailored to their unique needs and preferences.

• Monitoring Progress: Tracking client progress using various assessment tools and providing insightful feedback to adapt treatment strategies as necessary.

• Collaborating with Multidisciplinary Teams: Working closely with fellow clinicians, psychiatrists, and support staff to coordinate comprehensive care and consult on complex clinical cases.

Your role will focus on providing mental health services to young adults aged 18 to 30 in our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). This population often faces unique challenges related to identity, relationships, and transitioning to adulthood. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy.

• Current Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license in the state of Connecticut.
