Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Encompass Rehabilitation Center, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Directing and implementing tailored physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, and restoring functional abilities in alignment with physician directives.
• Overseeing the activities of physical therapy assistants, ensuring adherence to established plans of care.
• Conducting thorough evaluations to assess a client's level of function through diagnostic muscle, joint, and nerve tests, followed by appropriate treatment recommendations.
• Engaging in interdisciplinary case conferences to evaluate and iterate on total treatment plans, ensuring effective communication with other healthcare team members.
• Documenting all patient interactions, from initial evaluations to discharge summaries, while ensuring compliance with OASIS and other clinical documentation standards.
• Advising and instructing patients and their families on therapy techniques, the use of therapeutic devices, and home exercises to maximize independence.
• Providing ongoing adjustments and updates to therapy plans based on observed client progress and feedback.
