Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Encompass Rehabilitation Center, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of clients' physical abilities, incorporating diagnostic tests for muscle, joint, and functional strengths.
• Designing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, which may include tailored exercise programs, manual therapy techniques, and functional training.
• Overseeing the activities of physical therapy assistants, ensuring that treatment protocols are being followed and providing guidance as needed.
• Administering therapeutic exercises and modalities, including traction, massage, and other physical agent applications to promote healing.
• Monitoring client progress throughout treatment, documenting changes in conditions, and reporting these to the case manager and interdisciplinary team.
• Fitting and recommending appropriate prosthetic and orthotic devices to enhance mobility and independence.
• Participating actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to evaluate client progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
• Providing family education on physical therapy principles and techniques to foster collaborative care.
• Maintaining accurate clinical records, ensuring timely documentation according to company policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will focus on a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, individuals dealing with neurological conditions, and chronic pain sufferers. Each client will require a customized approach based on their unique health history, treatment goals, and functional capabilities. Your expertise in tailoring therapies to meet these varied needs will be essential in promoting recovery and maintaining independence in daily activities.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current and valid PT licensure in New Jersey.
• CPR certification and a valid driver's license, along with automobile insurance.
• Proven decision-making capabilities and a proactive approach to patient care.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport with clients and their families.
• A commitment to clinical excellence and a passion for patient advocacy.

Preferred Experience

While 2 years of experience as a practicing physical therapist is required, experience in an acute or home care setting will be advantageous. Familiarity with federal and state regulations related to physical therapy and healthcare delivery will be considered as a plus. Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 110,000 annually, complemented by an attractive benefits package.
