Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality orthopedic physical therapy services by assessing, planning, and implementing individualized treatment programs for each patient.
• Utilize a variety of advanced orthopedic rehabilitation techniques and modalities, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
• Regularly monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Supervise and mentor physical therapist assistants and technicians, ensuring compliance with professional standards and facility protocols.
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and outcomes, promoting a culture of collaboration and shared knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your patient caseload will primarily consist of adolescents, adults, and older adults recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, or chronic conditions. In certain specialized roles, you may provide pediatric care. You will work closely with patients to set achievable goals aimed at restoring functionality, independence, and overall quality of life through tailored therapeutic approaches.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• An active state licensure or certification in Physical Therapy.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy, demonstrating proficiency in evaluation, treatment plan development, and therapeutic techniques.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations and facilitate open communication with patients, families, and caregivers.
• Current CPR certification is preferred but may vary based on organizational policy.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with advanced orthopedic rehabilitation techniques and treatment modalities.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management.
• Certification in specialized orthopedic therapy techniques, such as sports therapy or manual therapy, is advantageous.
