Work Environment

Our rehabilitation facility in Lakewood is designed to provide a comfortable and supportive environment for both staff and patients. As part of an interdisciplinary team, you will collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and physical therapy assistants in a state-of-the-art facility that accommodates comprehensive rehabilitation needs. The work schedule runs Monday through Friday, allowing for a balanced work-life experience while serving our clients effectively.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, you will engage in a variety of responsibilities that contribute profoundly to patient outcomes:

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and enhancing muscle function, closely adhering to each patient's defined goals.
• Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations to assess clients' functional abilities and tailor rehabilitation strategies accordingly.
• Provide detailed assessments of patients' home environments to suggest necessary modifications that promote independence.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and functional activities, including treatments such as traction and massages, adjusting as needed based on ongoing evaluations.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure adherence to treatment plans, providing mentorship and guidance in accordance with state regulations.
• Collaborate in interdisciplinary team case conferences to facilitate integrated treatment planning and adjustments based on patient progress.
• Facilitate discussions with clients and their families to advise on therapy use and assist in understanding rehabilitation goals.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The focus of your practice will encompass a diverse patient population, primarily comprising individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, age-related conditions, sports injuries, and those experiencing chronic pain. You will support these clients through tailored interventions that promote mobility, strength, and an improved quality of life.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Physical Therapy licensure in New Jersey.
• Current CPR certification and valid driver's license with automobile insurance.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care rooted in integrity and clinical excellence.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with patients and work collaboratively across disciplines.
• Familiarity with relevant federal and state regulations governing physical therapy practices.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of one year of experience in acute care or home care settings is required, candidates with additional experience in outpatient rehabilitation or specialized orthopedic practices will be given preference.
