Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate elderly residents and identify their unique emotional and psychological care needs.

• Facilitate both individual and group counseling sessions, aimed at addressing the myriad emotional challenges that arise from aging, including grief, anxiety, and life transitions.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop personalized treatment plans based on Assessment reports and client feedback, ensuring holistic care approaches for geriatric residents.

• Provide psychoeducation to families and staff on effective strategies to enhance the emotional well-being and quality of life for older adults.

• Implement grief and loss counseling protocols to support residents and their families who are navigating end-of-life issues.
\n
• Introduce cognitive stimulation activities and mental health interventions designed to promote mental acuity and overall wellness in the elderly population.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role is primarily focused on the geriatric population, providing mental health services to seniors facing challenges such as loss, coping with chronic illness, and adjusting to changes related to aging. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution or university.
