Key Responsibilities

• Examine and evaluate patients to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to their individual needs and functional limitations, taking into account personal history, medical evaluations, and specific rehabilitation goals.

• Implement evidence-based treatment protocols based on thorough assessments, actively adjusting interventions as needed based on patient progress and feedback. Document all findings and treatment details meticulously in our electronic health record system.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care. Communicate significant changes in patient conditions promptly, and adjust care plans accordingly.

• Engage in discharge planning, ensuring that each patient's transition from therapy to home is seamless. Provide education and resources for ongoing care to support patient independence.

• Participate in facility meetings and lend insights to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness, helping to remove barriers to patient access and enhance overall services.

• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding physical therapy practices, maintaining an up-to-date understanding of practice acts governing our profession.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with patients experiencing orthopedic conditions requiring physical therapy intervention. This includes individuals recovering from surgeries, accidents, or chronic conditions affecting their mobility and functionality. Your empathetic approach and expert knowledge will aid a diverse range of patients, empowering them to regain strength and reclaim their independence.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required, demonstrating advanced knowledge and understanding of physical therapy principles.

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) in the state of Florida, ensuring compliance with the regulations set forth by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.

• At least two (2) years of experience in outpatient orthopedic settings, providing a strong foundation for practice in this dynamic role.

• A valid CPR certificate, ensuring you are prepared for any emergency situations that may arise during patient care.
