Work Environment

The Physical Therapist will work onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center located in scenic Sarasota, Florida. This facility is tailored to support a wide range of therapeutic practices, including individualized treatment rooms and open exercise spaces designed to encourage interaction among patients and staff. The position involves 40 hours of scheduled work per week, with some variability in weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Physical Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their functional abilities and physical limitations.
• Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans that align with patients' needs and goals.
• Providing expert consultation to other healthcare providers to optimize patient care and facilitate a seamless continuum of care.
• Engaging with patients to deliver therapeutic interventions, monitor their progress, and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Maintaining meticulous documentation of patient interactions, assessments, and treatment outcomes in line with legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
• Actively collaborating with the interdisciplinary treatment team, including physicians and referral sources, to coordinate care effectively.
• Leading community outreach initiatives, participating in quality improvement projects, and supervising support staff, including Physical Therapy Assistants and aides.
• Continuing professional development by attending training sessions, in-services, and industry conferences.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary patient population consists of individuals with orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, post-surgical conditions, and chronic pain issues. As a key member of the treatment team, you will work closely with patients of diverse ages and backgrounds, ensuring equitable and personalized treatment approaches that acknowledge each patient's unique circumstances.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in information management systems.
• A commitment to providing compassionate care and maintaining a friendly, patient-centered approach.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a rehabilitation setting is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
