Work Environment

At Moving & Grooving Rehab Center, you will work onsite in our state-of-the-art facility designed to enhance patient recovery and promote a comfortable atmosphere. Our facility is equipped with modern therapy equipment and technology, providing you the tools necessary to deliver high-quality care efficiently. You will be part of a collaborative team, working closely with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to ensure comprehensive care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized physical therapy treatments to an average of seven patients daily, focusing on mobility and functional restoration.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine patients' physical therapy needs and develop personalized rehabilitation plans.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, ensuring proper techniques to enhance recovery and minimize discomfort.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and support around treatment goals and progress.
• Document treatment plans, progress notes, and patient outcomes meticulously to maintain accurate and updated records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to discuss treatment approaches and optimize patient care strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with adults and the elderly recovering from various conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, and general mobility challenges. Our diverse patient population requires a thoughtful and tailored approach to therapy, as well as a commitment to fostering their recovery journeys in a supportive and empathetic manner.

Qualifications

• Valid New York State Physical Therapist License.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; however, a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience in a clinical or rehabilitation setting.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a skilled nursing facility or rehabilitation facility is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient documentation and communication.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and collaborate with healthcare teams.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
