Locum CRNA (Nurse Anesthetist) Anesthesiology

Description

This is an on-site, contract position within a dynamic Medical Practice environment, offering a valuable opportunity for an associate-level CRNA to deliver high-quality anesthesia care while collaborating with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.

As a Locum CRNA, you will play an essential role in supporting surgical and anesthetic procedures, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes throughout the perioperative process. You will work closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and nursing staff in a fast-paced clinical setting where precision, professionalism, and compassionate care are priorities.

 

Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical, diagnostic, or therapeutic procedures
• Perform thorough preoperative patient assessments and develop appropriate anesthesia care plans
• Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed during procedures
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, effective care
• Document patient responses, anesthesia techniques, and outcomes accurately
• Provide post-anesthesia care and support during recovery
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and implement appropriate interventions
• Adhere to hospital protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Educate patients and families about anesthesia procedures and post-operative expectations
• Support a culture of continuous improvement and patient-centered care within the department

Requirements

• Current CRNA certification from an accredited nurse anesthesia program
• Active and unrestricted registered nurse (RN) licensure
• Associate-level experience in nurse anesthesia or comparable clinical practice
• Strong knowledge of anesthesia techniques, pharmacology, and patient monitoring
• Ability to manage multiple priorities

Schedule: 8, 10, or 12 hour shifts

No call requirement

Duties: Pediatrics, OB, neuro, and endoscopy

Supervised by MDs

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
