Key Responsibilities\n

As an LMFT, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting assessments and developing treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of families and individuals.
\n
• Facilitating sessions with couples, as well as individual therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
\n
• Addressing complex family dynamics and challenges, including but not limited to: alcohol abuse, grief and loss, and sibling conflicts.
\n
• Providing support for medical issues and job-related stressors affecting the mental health of clients.
\n
• Implementing therapeutic strategies to assist families during transitions such as separation, divorce, or blending families.
\n
• Engaging in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in behavioral healthcare.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will engage with a diverse clientele, focusing on families and individuals from various backgrounds. Your expertise in managing emotional difficulties such as grief, relationship conflicts, and communication barriers will be critical in promoting healing and understanding within families. In addition, you will have the opportunity to work with specific age groups, including children and adolescents, which will further enrich your practice and skill set.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.

• Current, active licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Virginia.
