Software Engineer - UI/API Test Automation Bank

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, with at least 3 years of applied experience
• Practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using one or more modern programming and database query languages
• Experience with Web UI and API test automation
• Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools, including the ability to assess, validate, and refine generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security
• Proficiency in one or more languages or tools such as Cucumber, Gherkin, Java, Selenium, Python, or Playwright with Java
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and security and resiliency expectations; ability to guide peers in safe and effective usage
• General knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Solid understanding of agile practices such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
• Preferred: experience in the payments domain, familiarity with modern front-end technologies, or exposure to cloud technologies

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot software solutions, using creative approaches to resolve complex technical problems
• Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that operate in coordination with relevant systems
• Use approved AI coding tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity; validate generated outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding practices, and share reusable patterns with the team
• Apply Software Development Life Cycle tools, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value of automation
• Produce architecture and design materials for complex applications and ensure software development meets design constraints
• Participate in engineering communities and events focused on emerging technologies
• Analyze and visualize large, diverse data sets to support ongoing improvements to software applications and systems
• Identify patterns and underlying issues in data and use insights to improve coding practices and system architecture
