Lead Software Engineer - React/UI Lead

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, with at least 5 years of applied experience
• Experience leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools for tasks such as coding, code review, testing, and troubleshooting, and setting standards for validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, and security; experience coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption
• Significant commercial experience developing user interfaces, including hands-on React development
• Practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
• Proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
• In-depth knowledge of financial services and related IT systems
• Practical cloud-native experience
• Strong React and TypeScript skills, with an engineering-focused approach to solving complex problems and building scalable, high-performance solutions
• Commercial experience developing, debugging, and automating tests, such as with React Testing Library or Cypress
• Experience collaborating with backend teams to design scalable, reusable RESTful APIs
• Preferred: Exposure to agentic AI

• Provide technical guidance and direction to business partners, technical teams, contractors, and vendors
• Develop secure, high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others
• Encourage team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes
• Establish consistent validation practices for AI-assisted work, including secure coding, peer review, and automated testing, and promote effective patterns across the team
• Use Software Development Life Cycle tools, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value of automation
• Drive decisions affecting product design, application functionality, technical operations, and processes
• Serve as a subject matter expert across the function in one or more areas
• Contribute to the engineering community by advocating for firmwide Software Development Life Cycle frameworks, tools, and practices
• Influence peers and project decision-makers to consider emerging technologies
