Fully Alive has reached a stage where the day-to-day operations of the practice have grown beyond what one person can sustainably lead alone. For the past 19 years, Dr. Tara Scharich has worn many hats — among them doctor, founder, business owner, and visionary. While she will always remain deeply involved in patient care and leading the practice, the continued growth of Fully Alive calls for a dedicated operational leader who can help turn vision into execution. This isn't simply an opportunity to manage the day-to-day operations. This role exists to create greater capacity — for our patients, our team, and the practice’s future. Working closely with Dr. Tara, the Practice Manager will oversee the daily operations of Fully Alive, strengthen systems, develop people, support the team, and create an exceptional experience for every patient who walks through our doors. What You’ll Build This role is designed to grow over time. You'll begin by learning the practice from the inside out, then gradually take ownership of day-to-day operations before stepping into a broader leadership role alongside Dr. Tara. Learn the Practice During your first months, you'll immerse yourself in the patient experience and gain a deep understanding of how Fully Alive operates. You'll build relationships with our patients and team while becoming confident in the systems that keep the practice running smoothly. Your responsibilities will include:: Creating an exceptional front desk experience. Ensuring our patients feel seen, known, and cared for. Coordinating scheduling and patient communication. Guiding financial conversations and helping families confidently begin care. Learning our systems while identifying opportunities to improve them. Building trust with the team by understanding every part of the patient journey. Lead the Operations As your understanding of the practice grows, you’ll begin taking ownership of the operational side of Fully Alive — creating consistency, strengthening systems, and supporting the team so the practice can thrive. Your responsibilities will include: Overseeing daily practice operations. Developing the team and strengthening accountability. Managing hiring and onboarding. Monitoring financial systems, reporting, and key performance metrics. Keeping goals, priorities, and performance visible. Improving processes and workflows. Developing training resources and documentation. Supporting patient retention and referrals. Turning operational plans into consistent execution. Help Shape the Future This role is ultimately about more than keeping the practice running well today. As Practice Manager, you'll work closely with Dr. Tara to help build the capacity, systems, and culture that support Fully Alive's future — creating more space for her to lead, teach, mentor, and care for patients while ensuring the practice continues to grow with excellence. Qualifications We're looking for someone who: Has experience leading people, operations, or office management. Is highly organized and detail‑oriented. Communicates with warmth, professionalism, and discretion. Enjoys building systems and improving processes. Can confidently navigate both people‑focused and business‑focused conversations. Is comfortable learning new technology and software. Thrives in a fast‑paced environment with multiple priorities. Bonus Experience Chiropractic or healthcare practice Hiring and onboarding Marketing/event coordination CRM or practice management software Employment Type: Full‑time, in‑person Location: Fully Alive Family Chiropractic | 2600 Lincoln Avenue, St. Joseph, Michigan Reports to: Dr. Tara Scharich, DC Compensation: $18–$24 per hour, based on qualifications and experience, with opportunities for bonuses and career growth. Schedule: This is a full‑time position (36–40 hours per week). Core Patient Care Hours (32 hours) Tuesday: 1:30 PM - 6:30 PM Additional hours are typically scheduled on Tuesday and/or Friday mornings, and dedicated to the behind‑the‑scenes work that keeps the practice running well — including administrative responsibilities, financial oversight, team development, and operational planning. Additional Expectations Community education is an important part of Fully Alive's mission, so this role includes Tuesday evening workshops, occasional community events, and team trainings. Evening availability is expected, while weekend commitments are rare and planned well in advance.
