Work Environment

The practice is situated in a comfortable, inviting space in the heart of Union City. Here, we maintain a collaborative atmosphere among our healthcare professionals. As part of a cohesive team that includes two other physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant, you will play a vital role in shaping the rehabilitation journey of our patients. This is an onsite position, and the role operates within a structured Monday to Friday schedule, from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and fulfill individual patient goals through thorough evaluation and customized treatment plans.
• Manage a patient load that ensures one-on-one attention, focusing on optimal care and rehabilitation.
• Utilize a variety of treatment modalities and techniques tailored to orthopedic rehabilitation, ensuring each session is impactful and meaningful.
• Work with patients to develop rehabilitation goals that promote recovery, enhance strength, increase mobility, and decrease pain.
• Provide education and strategies to patients aimed at minimizing reliance on medications and exploring effective non-surgical interventions.
• Document and maintain accurate records of patient treatments, progress, and outcomes in alignment with best practice protocols.
• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
• Track evaluation and treatment outcomes, adjusting care plans as necessary to maximize effectiveness.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation process to instill confidence and facilitate optimal functional recovery.
• Promote health and wellness by enhancing patients' strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination through evidence-based practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient demographic primarily consists of individuals covered by private medical insurance, who seek rehabilitation for various orthopedic conditions. Your expertise will serve clients ranging from postoperative patients to those managing chronic orthopedic issues. The focus will be on establishing a supportive and encouraging therapeutic relationship that fosters patient engagement and commitment to their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of New Jersey.
• No prior disciplinary actions affecting your licensure.
• Demonstrated expertise in manual therapy techniques is highly preferred.
• Proficient in developing effective, individualized exercise regimens responsive to patient needs.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as WebPT is a plus.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is strongly desired.
• Ability to handle a diverse caseload with varying levels of function and therapeutic needs.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $125,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
