Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Valera Physical Therapy, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Directing and administering physical therapy treatment plans aimed at relieving patient pain, preventing disability, and enhancing muscle function based on physician prescriptions.
• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical abilities through diagnostic assessments to determine individual therapy needs.
• Supervising Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure effective implementation of treatment plans and adjunct therapeutic interventions.
• Providing hands-on therapy, including manual therapeutic exercises and functional activity instruction, to enhance patient mobility and independence.
• Assessing the home environment where therapy will occur and recommending modifications to optimize rehabilitation outcomes.
• Managing documentation of clinical records including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care progress and modify treatment plans in coordination with other healthcare professionals.
• Educating patients and families on physical therapy devices, treatment plans, and strategies for successful rehabilitation.
