This contract opportunity, based at an elementary campus, offers the chance to work with a caseload of up to 10 students, accompanied by dedicated Paraprofessionals and an Intervener for additional student support.

You’ll play a vital role in guiding students on the autism spectrum and other special needs toward academic and personal growth for the 2026-2027 school year (September 1, 2026, through June 4, 2027). The position features a 37.5–40 hour work week, providing stability and opportunity to build meaningful relationships.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Special Education license required (PELSB/MDE). Only candidates with a current license will be considered.
• Experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably with students on the autism spectrum (ASD teaching background highly valued).
• Tier 2 teaching credential preferred.
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with Paraprofessionals, Interveners, and fellow educators.
• Commitment to individualized instruction and support for diverse learners.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of up to 10 students, creating and implementing effective, individualized educational strategies.
• Collaborate with supporting staff, including Paras and an Intervener, to ensure each student’s needs are met.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as necessary.
• Maintain accurate documentation for compliance and parent communication.
