A fantastic opportunity awaits a passionate Speech and Language Pathologist to make a meaningful difference within an elementary school environment near Smyrna, Delaware. This contract position will provide the chance to work with a caseload of approximately 55 elementary students throughout the 2022-2023 academic year, helping children build their confidence and communication skills.

As an SLP in this setting, you’ll be instrumental in supporting students facing challenges related to speech and language development. Your expertise will help shape engaging, individualized interventions that foster student success both in and beyond the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess student eligibility for speech and language services in areas such as articulation/phonology, voice, fluency, and language.
• Conduct and review IEPs annually, and perform both initial and re-evaluations as required.
• Deliver targeted therapy services in both individual and group settings.
• Collaborate regularly with educators and caregivers to provide strategies and support for students with communicative needs.
• Contribute to ongoing development and adaptation of education plans for students.

Desired Qualifications:

• Delaware State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for CFY supervision.
• Experience with pediatric and elementary student populations preferred.
• Willingness to supervise when needed.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
