Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental and emotional well-being using evidence-based methodologies.

• Develop individualized treatment plans by evaluating clients' needs, presenting issues, and desired goals in collaborative sessions.

• Provide engaging and supportive individual therapy sessions for clients of all ages, addressing various mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, and trauma.

• Facilitate couples therapy sessions to enhance communication skills, resolve conflicts, and empower relationship growth.

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date client records, including progress notes and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Adjust treatment plans as required based on client progress and feedback, promoting adaptability in therapeutic approaches.

• Deliver crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing acute distress or emergencies, employing advanced assessment and intervention skills.

• Stay informed of the latest research, best practices, and methodologies in marriage and family therapy to continually enhance the quality of care.

• Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to refine therapeutic skills and remain compliant with licensure requirements.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field is required.

• Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of New Jersey.

• Proven experience providing individual and/or couples therapy, alongside expertise in child and adolescent counseling.

• Demonstrated competence in timely completion of client assessments and documentation.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in electronic health record systems.
