We are seeking an Employment Litigation Attorney to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is a strong advocate, confident communicator, and detail-oriented litigator who can manage cases, negotiate effectively, handle opposing counsel professionally, and help move matters toward successful resolution through litigation, mediation, settlement, and trial.

This position is best suited for an attorney who is serious about developing as a litigator and is prepared to take an active role in employment cases from intake through resolution.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Employment Litigation Attorney will be responsible for handling employment litigation matters, including but not limited to:

• Representing clients in employment disputes involving FEHA claims, wage and hour violations, wrongful termination, retaliation, harassment, discrimination, failure to accommodate, failure to engage in the interactive process, and related employment claims;
• Communicating with clients regarding case strategy, litigation updates, settlement position, and case progress;
• Negotiating directly with opposing counsel and handling disputes professionally, firmly, and effectively;
• Representing clients in mediations, settlement negotiations, and informal resolution discussions;
• Drafting and opposing dispositive motions, including motions for summary judgment and summary adjudication;
• Drafting motions, including motions to compel, motions to quash, discovery-related motions, evidentiary motions, and other litigation filings;
• Preparing for and participating in depositions, including preparing clients for depositions, as well as preparing for hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and trial-related proceedings;
• Appearing in state and federal court as needed;
• Managing case deadlines, litigation strategy, and assigned caseload responsibilities

Ideal Candidate Will Possess

• Minimum of two years of litigation experience in employment law;
• Active California Bar admission in good standing;
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to deal effectively with opposing counsel;
• Strong legal writing, analysis, and oral advocacy skills;
• Ability to draft persuasive motions, oppositions, briefs, and litigation documents;
• Trial experience is preferred, but not required;
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines;
• Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills;
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment;
• Experience with state and federal court litigation and filing procedures;
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Excel, PowerPoint, and case-management/practice-management software (Clio);
• Bilingual is preferred, but not required.

Requirements

• Active California Bar admission required;
• Ability to commute to Los Angeles, California (specifically Koreatown);
• Ability to work in person, with some flexibility for remote work as appropriate;
• Employment litigation experience required.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package based on experience, with annual pay ranging from $120,000.00 to $200,000.00 , plus potential bonuses. xkmhxrz
