This role focuses on supporting individuals through assessment, referral, and ongoing case management services. The work helps ensure that clients receive the care and resources they need to move toward recovery. As a Drug and Alcohol Case Management Specialist Trainee, you will perform the following duties: Responsibilities Client Screening: Conduct telephone and in person screening of clients during referral contacts Assessment Work: Complete assessments in office or community settings to identify service needs Care Coordination: Arrange placements, coordinate services, and guide clients through treatment processes Documentation Tasks: Maintain accurate records, complete required reports, and manage confidential releases Service Authorization: Determine funding, request authorizations, and support continuity of care Community Outreach: Present information, meet clients in the community, and support access to resources Work Schedule and Additional Information Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with 30‑minute lunch. Qualifications Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Dependency, Sociology, Social Welfare, Psychology, Nursing or a related field; or a Bachelor’s Degree which includes or is supplemented by successful completion of 18 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, criminal justice or other related social sciences; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
