Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical abilities and limitations to develop individualized treatment plans that address their unique needs.
• Implement therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities designed to reduce pain, restore mobility, and enhance strength.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including occupational therapists and medical professionals, to ensure holistic patient care and success.
• Regularly evaluate patient progress and adjust therapy protocols based on objective assessments and patient feedback.
• Educate patients and their families on exercises, home care strategies, and safety protocols to empower them in their recovery journeys.
• Maintain precise documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of wellness programs that promote preventive care within the center.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with adult and senior patients who may be recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions that affect their physical mobility. Our goal is to provide comprehensive rehabilitation that enhances recovery outcomes and promotes independence in daily functioning. Your empathetic approach will significantly impact patients' emotional health, contributing to their overall rehabilitation success.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required. A Doctorate or Master's Degree is preferred.
• A current and valid Virginia Physical Therapy license in good standing is essential.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience in a rehabilitation or assisted living setting, with a focus on geriatrics preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
• A heartfelt commitment to fostering dignity and autonomy in aging adults, with an understanding of their specific rehabilitation needs.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in developing and managing treatment plans for geriatric populations.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
