Summary of Performance Expectations: Under the supervision of a Licensed Occupational Therapist, implements occupational therapy treatments. Provides input to the Licensed Occupational Therapist in patient evaluations and in the development of treatment plans. Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings as appropriate. Education and Credentials: Required: Associate degree from an accredited program for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants. Current NC license. BCLS for healthcare providers or completion of BCLS from the American Heart Association within three months of employment date. Preferred: Work Experience: Required: No previous experience required. Given training and on-the-job experience, incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date. Preferred: One year hospital or SNF based rehab experience preferred.
