Accounts Payable Specialist IThe Accounts Payable Specialist I is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all RWC Group payables, ensuring all charges are authorized and coded correctly within the proper time period. This includes matching invoices with the appropriate purchase order and receiving documentation. The ideal Accounts Payable Specialist I will handle company matters discretely and will always respond to our vendors, co-workers and business partners’ inquiries and concerns promptly, professionally and accurately.Duties and ResponsibilitiesEnter invoices with appropriate general ledger coding and corresponding approvals, often requiring coordination with multiple branch locationsMatch approved purchase orders and receiving approvals with original invoicesVerify invoices for quantity, freight, pricing, due dates, and discountsResearch any discrepancies between invoice and purchase order with approving departmentAssist with weekly check runsCreate new electronic vendor files and respond to vendor inquiries as neededHelp manage open POs (Purchase Orders) using internal reporting and other resourcesReconcile vendor statementsMaintain positive relationships with vendors, following up as requiredPrepare general ledger entries and maintain proper supporting documentationFollow accounting proceduresAll other duties as assignedCore CompetenciesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAdept at problem solving and analytical skillsHigh attention to detailProven history of meeting deadlinesAbility to maintain confidentialityStrong mathematical skillsCustomer / Client focusedAbility to manage and prioritize multiple tasks using sound business judgment in a fast-paced environmentRequired Education and ExperienceExcede or other accounting software experience4-5 years accounts payable or general accounting experienceDealership experience preferredAccounting education and/or experience preferredYOOZ or similar AP automation software experience preferredOther Relevant Information About This RoleWe are located at 75th Avenue, just south of the I-10This is an in person / on site role. We are not offering remote work at this timeFull-Time: Daily start time between the hours of 7am and 7:30am, M-FThis is an hourly position, $21-$23/hour DOE
