Key Responsibilities\n

• Utilize your clinical expertise to conduct assessments and formulate independent psychosocial diagnoses for a diverse group of students.

• Develop and implement individualized, patient-centered treatment plans that align with each student's unique needs and circumstances.

• Employ evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and problem-solving treatment to deliver behavioral interventions tailored to the school environment.

• Work in collaboration with educators, psychologists, and primary care providers to create an integrated care approach, ensuring that students receive comprehensive support.

• Regularly track and assess treatment responses, managing virtual or in-person sessions to monitor progress against treatment goals clearly defined for each student.

• Support medication management in conjunction with prescribing providers, focusing on treatment adherence and monitoring any side effects to optimize the therapeutic outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on school-aged children and adolescents facing emotional and behavioral challenges. You will be a critical support resource for students who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, social struggles, or academic difficulties, helping them navigate their mental health journeys and improve their overall well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• A current, valid, and unrestricted license to practice independently in mental health as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York.

• At least one year of experience providing therapy as an independently licensed mental health professional.

Preferred Experience\n

Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with child and adolescent mental health issues, as well as experience employing collaborative treatment strategies with multidisciplinary teams, will set candidates apart.
