Location: White Plains, NY 10605 (Hybrid: 3 days in-office / 2 days remote)

Pay Range: $45.00 - $46.80 per hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Type: 8-Month Contract (With potential for extension)

Randstad is seeking an experienced and collaborative Benefits Manager to oversee the day-to-day administration, optimization, and communication of our comprehensive benefits programs for our global food and beverage client. Serving as the Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will ensure our programs run seamlessly, maintain regulatory compliance, and deliver an exceptional experience for our employees.

Key Responsibilities

As the Benefits Manager, your time will be focused on three main pillars: Program Administration, Vendor & Fiscal Management, and Employee Engagement.

  • Program Ownership & Strategy: Develop, implement, and manage benefit policies, systems, and procedures. Evaluate and recommend optimizations for benefit programs (methods, providers, costs, and tools) to ensure a harmonized and fiscally sound offering.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Act as the go-to SME for medical, prescription drug, Leave of Absence (LOA) & Disability, voluntary programs, EAP, and customer advocacy.
  • Vendor & Platform Management: Manage day-to-day vendor relationships and coordinate administrative processing. Ensure total accuracy of benefit enrollments within our outsourced benefits platform.
  • Financial Oversight: Review, reconcile, and approve benefit invoices for assigned programs. Work closely with vendors and consultants to analyze data and track program experience.
  • Communication & Engagement: Design, distribute, and present dynamic benefits information for new hire orientations, annual open enrollment, and special info sessions. Deploy meaningful communications to increase program awareness and engagement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Respond to employee benefits inquiries, monitor eligibility, and assist participants with claims. Partner internally with HRIS, Payroll, Legal, Safety, Procurement, Communications, and Finance teams.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience working within Human Resources, with a strong focus on benefits administration.
  • Industry Knowledge: Working knowledge of the standard principles of HR benefits management, as well as employee benefits regulations, language, practices, and operating procedures.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel skills, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Proven ability to present complex information clearly to co-workers, executives, vendors, and the public.
  • Cultural Competence: A strong sense of professional ethics and sensitivity to gender, cultural diversities, and disabilities in all communications and interactions.
