The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Source and select suppliers for raw materials and components.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
• Analyze market trends and supplier capabilities to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to ensure material availability and specifications are met.
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize inventory levels.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proven ability to negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships
• Strong understanding of ERP systems, particularly for purchasing modules
• Experience with supply chain management and inventory optimization
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems like SAP or Oracle
• Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM)
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and their application in procurement
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex contracts and manage supplier relationships
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) for spend analysis and demand forecasting
