Position Highlights Benefits eligible first day of month after start 401K with match Tuition assistance (4) 10‑hour night shifts – 8 pm or 10 pm start BSN required 2+ years RN experience required Leadership experience preferred ICU experience preferred Overview Assistant Nurse Manager – responsible for supporting the Nurse Manager in daily operations, clinical oversight, staff development and ensuring high standards of patient care in a 42‑bed Medical Intensive Care Unit. Role Purpose Coordinates patient care, personnel management, maintenance of equipment and statistical data collection. Responsibilities Manages staff: hires, trains, assigns work, evaluates performance, and develops professional plans. Participates in staffing, revenue and expense budgeting and ensures adherence to goals. Provides and oversees patient care according to plan of care and documentation standards. Creates and implements collaborative care plans based on assessment and diagnosis. Reviews staff hours, approves payroll, reconciles time cards, and coordinates staff communications. Determines staffing needs, assigns overtime, and recommends annual salary increases. Interviews candidates, conducts performance reviews, drafts corrective actions, and monitors disciplinary compliance. Maintains safety‑sensitive performance; remains alert in a constant state of readiness.
