Day-in-the-life: PIT Operator in Lakeville, MN

Picture your shift starting in our Lakeville, MN warehouse. You complete a quick pre-use check on your forklift, sync up with your crew, and get the day’s targets. Pallets arrive at the dock; you stage, load, and unload with precision. Between moves, you update stock counts on a workstation, keep aisles clear, and flag anything that needs attention. Safety is your rhythm, teamwork your tempo.

What you’ll do

Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move products efficiently across the warehouse.
Load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks, placing goods accurately in designated locations.
Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts and related equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation.
Keep work areas orderly and clean while following safety procedures and company policies.
Support inventory control by counting, tracking, and updating stock levels.
Partner closely with teammates to hit daily productivity goals and shipment deadlines.
Promptly report equipment issues, near-misses, or safety concerns to leadership.

What you’ll bring

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Current forklift certification or the willingness to obtain it.
Experience in a warehouse or logistics setting is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
Comfort lifting heavy items and performing physically demanding tasks.
Clear communicator and collaborative team player.
Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and simple reporting.
