Work Environment

The Physical Therapist position is onsite at our outpatient facility located in Lakewood, NJ. You will be part of a collaborative healthcare team that includes other physical therapists, rehabilitation aides, and administrative staff. You will operate on a standard schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a balanced work-life routine.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations to identify the goals and needs of each patient, leading to a customized treatment plan.
• Manage a caseload effectively, seeing approximately one patient per hour while ensuring thorough and attentive care throughout each session.
• Utilize evidence-based practices including manual therapy techniques to optimize client outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare personnel to coordinate treatment and achieve the best patient results.
• Regularly assess and monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on clinical findings.
• Maintain meticulous documentation, including initial evaluations, progress notes, treatment plans, and billing information, to adhere to regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients in an outpatient setting, focusing on orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions. Our clientele includes post-surgical patients, individuals recovering from injuries, and those managing chronic conditions. We emphasize patient-centered approaches, meaning you will actively engage with patients to educate them about their conditions and involve them in decision-making to foster greater ownership over their recovery.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required.
• A valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey is a must.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience providing physical therapy services in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• A clean professional record with no disciplinary actions against your license.
• Strong manual therapy skills and the ability to apply a variety of treatment modalities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Experience

While the minimum requirement is two years of experience, candidates with specialized certifications or advanced training in areas such as sports rehabilitation, pain management, or pediatric therapy will be given preference. Compensation and Benefits
