Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our outpatient facility in Lakewood, NJ, providing an engaging and supportive work setting. Our team operates Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life. Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you'll be involved in a variety of clinical duties, including but not limited to:

• Evaluating patients' physical conditions through comprehensive assessments to determine treatment objectives.
• Managing a patient load, averaging one patient per hour, to ensure effective, individualized therapy sessions.
• Designing and implementing tailored treatment plans utilizing manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises.
• Working to minimize reliance on medications by offering alternative treatment options geared towards enhancing mobility.
• Contributing to the multidisciplinary approach by collaborating with other healthcare professionals to optimize overall patient care.
• Documenting patient progress meticulously and modifying care plans based on ongoing assessments.
• Providing motivational support and education to patients to encourage their commitment to the rehabilitation process.
• Implementing fitness and wellness programs specific to each patient's capabilities and treatment goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients with orthopedic injuries and conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and age-related musculoskeletal issues. The practice primarily serves individuals with private medical insurance, allowing for personalized treatment strategies and comprehensive care plans designed to enhance recovery faster and more effectively.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid Physical Therapist license in New Jersey, with no prior disciplinary actions.
• Strong knowledge and experience in manual therapy techniques applicable to orthopedic patients.
• Competency in developing structured exercise programs and therapeutic interventions.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, to manage patient documentation effectively.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates holding prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting will excel in this role. Skills in conducting comprehensive patient evaluations and implementing evidence-based treatments will greatly contribute to the success and effectiveness of our therapy programs.

Compensation and Benefits

West Valley Physical Therapy Services offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 – $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
