About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP, Assistant Controller to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be a key player in the facilitation of the company's accounting operations, ensuring that all tasks and processes are completed in a timely and accurate manner. This role is pivotal in maintaining the integrity of the company's financial operations, including accounts payable, reconciliations, general ledger reconciliations, and budgeting. The VP, Assistant Controller will also be responsible for leading and managing the accounting staff, holding them accountable for their commitments, and fostering a culture of teamwork and values alignment. Candidates for this position should be a role model for the company's core values, with a strong commitment to customer service, integrity, and trust. The role requires a professional with a Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or finance, and a CPA is preferred. The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years' of experience in accounting, with a focus on the banking industry, and a proven track record of leadership, management, and accountability. Strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication skills are essential. The VP, Assistant Controller will also be expected to have a deep understanding of accounting and banking industry policies, procedures, and regulations, and to ensure compliance with all relevant federal and state rules and regulations.
