As a Sales Engineer, you will partner with Verizon Connect’s Enterprise and Mid-Market sales teams to develop value propositions for our platform, products and conduct technical presentations to our existing clients. You will be responsible for all technical aspects of our solutions, this role will work closely with the Sales and Global Customer Success (GCS) leadership teams.

For this job, you'll bring extensive Customer Success and/or Sales experience in the Enterprise and Mid-Market space, a strong technical acumen, and detailed knowledge of SaSS technologies, and enterprise applications. You must have a strong background in technology, internet protocols, sales, account management, systems information management, business intelligence systems design, including experience in consultative selling and/or solution-based sales. You also enjoy working with people and technology, and as such you have both the ability to interact with engineering teams as well as possess excellent relationship-building and communication skills.

Duties:

You will own our relationship with one or more strategic clients who operate large, highly secure corporate and e-commerce systems. Working with small teams of client delivery employees, you will deliver projects, maintain operational stability and ensure overall client happiness. The strategic relationships you develop with clients, third-party vendors and service delivery partners will be critical to our overall success.

• Advocating for the customer using a deep understanding of their systems, business priorities and strategic direction.
• Handling daily operations to ensure the delivered performance and services match customer needs.
• Consulting with clients on challenges with their systems to deliver operational improvements and a tailored customer experience.
• Facilitating problem solving and technical resolution meetings between internal client engineers and the client.
• Ensuring consistent increases in service and system performance over the lifecycle of the business relationship.
• Leading and mentoring directly and indirectly client delivery personnel including engineers, project and account managers.

• Collaborate with sales and GCS leadership to expand strategic customer opportunities.
• You'll support Enterprise and Mid-Market sales and GCS teams. You'll need to be an expert in Verizon Connects products and stay current on emerging technology trends.
• Design and implement solution processes to align product and vertical selling strategies.
• Communicate Verizon Connect value proposition to varying technical and non-technical clients, including executive ''C'' level management, VP, and Director levels, and end-users.
• Maintain expert knowledge of Verizon Connect products to develop and present unique solutions, and maintain knowledge of emerging trends in technology and online advertising

You’ll need to have:

• BA/BS degree preferred with a strong academic record.
• 5+ years of Technical Sales, Direct sales experience or Account Support experience
• Success in Enterprise and/or Mid-Market account growth
• Demonstrated success in cross functional initiatives and experience in technical account support.

• Strong leadership skills to identify client’s needs, develop and execute actions.
• Strong team player, but still a self-starter - ability to lead by example.
• Strong negotiation skills with experience getting win-win solutions for clients.
• Customer Success best practice knowledge and experience.
• Experience with Client Service Management for Cyber Security environment (NOC and SOC client service management).
• Experience working with complex, multi-divisional, multi-geographical customers.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams (e.g. Sales, Product, Marketing, Services).
• Ability to persuade, inspire and motivate others - strong interpersonal skills.
• Solid analytical, strategic thinking and problem solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in an ambiguous multi-tasking environment and can adjust priorities on the fly.
• Experience closing sales deals at the executive level.
• Experience with strategic business development – building and executing business cases.
• Ability to create structure in ambiguous situations and design effective processes.

Where you’ll be working

In this mobile role, you'll primarily work from customer or field location(s), with occasional visits to a Verizon location for in-person training and meetings.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is a commission based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $84,500.00 - $161,000.00.The annual salary range for the Illinois location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $92,500.00 - $161,000.00.
