Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Echo Rehabilitation Center, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive initial assessments for new patients to establish individualized treatment plans that address their specific rehabilitation needs.
• Administering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities, with a focus on enhancing mobility and functional independence.
• Monitoring patient progress by consistently evaluating treatments; adjusting plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
• Educating patients and their families about rehabilitation processes, providing clear communication about exercise programs, and answering all questions related to care and recovery.
• Providing support and guidance to patients in navigating their treatment journey, ensuring they understand their role in achieving rehabilitation goals.
• Efficiently managing a caseload of approximately 7 patients per day while completing timely documentation and adhering to best practices in patient care.
• Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to participate in treatment discussions and contribute insights into patient care strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with adult patients recovering from a range of conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, neurological disorders, sports injuries, and chronic pain. Your role will be integral to helping these individuals regain their independence and improve their quality of life through effective rehabilitation practices.

Qualifications

• A valid New York State Physical Therapist License is required.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, with a Master's or Doctorate degree preferred.
• At least two years of experience in a clinical setting, ideally within rehabilitation or skilled nursing facilities.

Preferred Experience

Experience in outpatient rehabilitation settings is highly desirable. Specialized training or certifications in areas such as manual therapy, sports rehabilitation, or geriatrics will be an added advantage. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and rehabilitation software is also beneficial, as you will be required to maintain accurate patient records and document treatment plans.
