Role Description The Senior Litigation Associate will handle complex commercial and entertainment-related litigation matters from inception through resolution in an on-site role based in New York, NY. or a WFH in any state as long as you are licensed in either New York or California.

 

Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting and arguing motions, managing discovery, conducting and defending depositions, preparing pleadings, and appearing in state and federal courts. The role involves supervising junior attorneys and staff, communicating regularly with clients, developing case strategies, and coordinating with foreign counsel and partner firms when matters involve international intellectual property or cross-border issues. This is a full-time position that requires strong ownership of cases, practical problem-solving, and the ability to work closely with partners in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Law, including commercial litigation, entertainment law, and intellectual property disputes, with the ability to provide practical business-focused advice.
• Demonstrated experience drafting, briefing, and arguing Motions, including dispositive and procedural motions in complex litigation matters.
• Advanced Research skills, including fact investigation, legal research using major research platforms, and analysis of multi-jurisdictional issues.
• Substantial experience with Depositions, including preparation, examination, defending witnesses, and using deposition testimony strategically in motion practice and at trial.
• Prior experience practicing before state and federal Courts, including handling conferences, hearings, and trial-related tasks.
• J.D. from an accredited law school and admission in good standing to the New York Bar.
• 5–8+ years of litigation experience at a law firm.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills, strong judgment, and the ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines simultaneously.
• Experience supervising junior attorneys and support staff and collaborating effectively with clients and co-counsel.
• Must be energetic, Self-Starter.
• Having your own book of business a plus.
• Salary commiserate with experience and firm fit factors. $125,000 - $200,000
