New Business Development Manager

Job Roles and Responsibilities

Develop and execute sales activities within the assigned territory.

Maintain and grow relationships with existing retail customers.

Identify and secure new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, phone outreach, and in-person visits.

Generate customer orders and support account growth.

Identify customer requirements and provide appropriate product solutions.

Prepare, submit, and follow up on sales quotations.

Build relationships with key customer contacts, including purchasing teams, quality assurance representatives, managers, and decision-makers.

Manage daily sales activities and territory coverage independently.

Conduct regular customer visits throughout the assigned region.

Support and manage merchandisers within the territory.

Perform merchandising activities including product placement, restocking, and display maintenance when required.

Monitor competitive activity, market conditions, and customer trends.

Provide weekly sales activity reports, call reports, and territory updates to leadership.

Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and sales progress.

Perform additional sales-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Certifications

2+ years of field sales, outside sales, territory management, account management, or business development experience.

Retail sales experience preferred, especially in novelty, gift, consumer products, or similar industries.

Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

Proven ability to develop new business and maintain customer relationships.

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Excellent time management and follow-up skills.

Demonstrated success working in a sales-driven environment.

Ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory.

Valid driver's license required.

Reliable transportation required.

Authorization to work in the United States.
