Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide culturally-responsive psychotherapy to clients across varying age groups, including adults, teens, and children.

• Conduct thorough assessments and intake sessions to establish therapeutic goals and design collaborative treatment plans.

• Utilize evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and trauma-informed care to tailor your approach to each client.

• Maintain a manageable caseload while ensuring timely and accurate documentation through our electronic health record (EHR) system.

• Engage in regular team meetings, peer consultation sessions, and clinical trainings to enhance your skills and contribute to the professional development of your colleagues.

• Encourage client participation in shaping their treatment experience and empower them to voice their needs and preferences in therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client population is diverse, consisting of individuals from various backgrounds, including marginalized communities such as BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ clients. You will have the opportunity to work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health issues. Additionally, you might engage with underserved populations facing systemic barriers that affect their access to mental health care. Your expertise and sensitivity will be crucial in addressing the distinct needs of each client.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active LPCC license in the state of California.

• A Master’s degree in Counseling or a related field from an accredited program.

• At least two years of clinical experience post-licensure or substantial pre-licensed experience with specialized populations.

• Strong knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostics, ethical standards, and clinical documentation practices.

• Ability to work comfortably both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

• Experience and commitment to working with marginalized communities.

Preferred Experience\n

• Specialized training in evidence-based modalities such as EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic therapy, substance use treatment, or crisis intervention.
