Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) to join its nursing team.

This is a great opportunity for an RN with at least 1 year of nursing experience . Acute-care experience is not required , making this opportunity suitable for RNs coming from a variety of clinical backgrounds.

The Med-Surg unit has 28 private beds with nurse-to-patient ratios that can reach approximately 1:6 .

-> Responsibilities

• Assess patients upon admission and throughout each shift.
• Monitor patient conditions and promptly report changes.
• Administer medications and monitor therapeutic and adverse responses.
• Perform treatments, procedures, and monitoring as ordered.
• Accurately document patient care in the medical record.
• Provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered nursing care.
• Respond to patient needs and advocate for patients and families.
• Educate patients and caregivers regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, side effects, and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, and a positive patient experience.

-> Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required.
• Acute-care experience not required .
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) credentials.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
• BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment .
• Strong communication, assessment, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work rotating weekends .
• Ability to work either day or night shift.
