Psychiatric Technician (Float Pool II), Per Diem Night Shift, Behavioral Health

Shady Grove Medical Center – Psych Tech Float Pool II – Per Diem We are looking for an experienced Psych Tech to join our Float Pool II. The successful candidate will collaborate across the care team to support the mission of providing comprehensive care. Responsibilities Facilitate patient‑professional collaboration at all levels of health care. Monitor therapeutic treatment and support the treatment team. Recognize and value differences within the care team, encouraging an environment that allows opinion sharing. Collaborate to develop patient care protocols and procedures. Incorporate clinical guidelines into patient care. Use information technology to deliver safe and efficient care. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years in a related field. Prior experience in an inpatient behavioral health setting preferred. High School Diploma or GED required. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate. Work Schedule Paid at a per diem rate of $26/hr. 36 hours per week commitment with a typical 6:45 p‑m to 7:15 a‑m shift (3, 12‑hour shifts per week). Employee is expected to work a minimum of three weekend shifts (one Saturday, one Sunday, and a third weekend shift of choice) along with one Monday and one Friday. Shift type: night. Holiday rotation on unit included. Shift differential eligible. Pay Per diem rate of $26 per hour. Salary discussions for non‑per diem positions will occur during the screening process.
