Account Executive, Renewal Sales

The Account Executive, Renewal Sales is a key participant in the Renewals Department, responsible for active account management, cross‑selling, and retaining merchant relationships. The position works with other business areas and senior management to increase account penetration, revenue growth, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Create and drive revenue within a specified region or list of accounts. Drive revenue and own the full‑cycle sales process, including prospecting, negotiating contracts, and closing renewal business with customers. Provide recommendations based on a customer’s business needs and usage patterns. Serve as the voice of the customer, collect feedback, and qualify leads and sales opportunities. Handle inbound customer communication and appropriately organize/escalate issues involving billing, legal, security, and technical inquiries. Collaborate with Underwriting, Leadership, and other teams to build strategic financial plans for customers. Educate and communicate the value of Cash Advance to customers. Develop trusted internal and external relationships to create mutually beneficial sales outcomes. Manage a pipeline within a defined sales process. Communicate the status of deals to internal management, including senior leadership, with realistic timelines and potential obstacles. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred). 1+ years of full‑cycle sales experience, ideally in financial services and/or consultative sales with a record of delivering results. Experience collaborating with internal sales teams and selling across multiple products and industries. Ability to engage multiple stakeholders throughout the sales cycle, including Legal, IT, Security, and Finance. Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred). Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong sense of accountability. Ability to perform basic business math. Preferred Skills Strong organizational skills and adaptability. Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, CRM, pricing, and gateway tools. Consultative selling experience and solution‑selling skills. Competitive spirit, resourcefulness, and openness to feedback and coaching. Planning and closing skills, and strong influence in a team environment.
