Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individualized in-home therapy sessions and group therapy in our outpatient clinic, observing confidentiality and professional standards at all times.
\n
• Employ strategies to reduce high-risk behaviors, such as self-injurious behaviors (SIB) or physical aggression, through tailored curriculum in anger management and social skills training.
\n
• Assist caregivers in building effective decision-making capabilities to manage behavioral challenges, promoting stability and reduced conflict at home.
\n
• Engage in effective collaboration with the Child Family Treatment Team and other specialized providers to ensure a holistic approach to treatment.
\n
• Accurately document treatment progress, intake assessments, and ongoing treatment plans within designated timeframes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
\n
• Participate in regular strategy meetings to discuss case developments, share insights, and provide actionable recommendations for client progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on delivering compassionate, evidence-based therapy to children aged 3-20 who are experiencing developmental disabilities and intellectual disorders. You will work closely with children and families, developing therapeutic interventions tailored to their unique circumstances and goals. Our commitment to bilingual services means that candidates fluent in Spanish or Portuguese are encouraged to apply, enhancing the accessibility and effectiveness of our support.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license is a must.
\n
• Availability for 5-10 hours per week, primarily during after-school hours (4-7 PM), with flexibility for weekend sessions highly desirable.

• Current valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for in-home visits are essential.
\n
• A successful completion of criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is mandatory.

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrated experience in providing positive behavior support and therapeutic intervention for youth.

• Previous work experience with children having intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD) is advantageous.

• Experience collaborating in a multidisciplinary team setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
