Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 16 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: - Minimum 2 years of emergency room experience required - Must have at least 1 year of experience in a Level 1 trauma facility or 2 years in a Level 2 trauma facility including some pediatric experience License: - State license must be current; pending licenses may be accepted Certifications: - ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC required; must have TNCC before starting Must-Have: - Experience with pediatric patients Description: This is a cross-posting for an Emergency Room Nurse position. The assignment offers night shifts with varying scheduled days based on staffing needs. Weekend shifts are required. Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed. The candidate must work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays. Time off around Labor Day is not approved. The facility sees an average daily census of 165 patients. Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The unit provides care for various patient diagnoses including Level I trauma, comprehensive stroke, and chest pain. Interdisciplinary support is available within the unit. Travelers must float within their scope of practice as needed. Experience with electronic charting systems is required.
