Business Development Manager

Janel Group is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new business growth throughout the Southeast region. This is a true hunter role focused on identifying, pursuing, and securing new customers within the logistics and freight forwarding industry. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives on building relationships, generating new revenue, and achieving sales goals. Primary Responsibilities Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and industry events. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified prospects. Develop and execute sales strategies to increase revenue within assigned territories and service offerings. Manage the full sales cycle, from initial outreach through closing and onboarding. Build strong client relationships and ensure a positive customer experience. Collaborate with operations and internal teams to support customer needs and business growth. Maintain knowledge of market trends and competitive activity. Track sales activities, pipeline progress, and revenue forecasts through CRM tools. Travel within the assigned territory as needed to meet with prospective and existing customers. Qualifications Proven success in business development, sales, or account acquisition. Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet sales goals. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
