We are committed to helping minimize risk for both our clients and more than 18,000 Financial Advisors, while fostering a culture built on partnership, inclusion, and continuous improvement.As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will play a key role in executing audits, influencing stakeholders, and helping develop the next generation of audit professionals—all while enjoying minimal travel and strong work-life balance.What You'll DoLead and execute financial and operational audits across multiple areas of the firmPerform risk assessments to define audit scope and identify key risks and controlsGain understanding of automated and manual processes to evaluate control environmentsDesign and execute control testing to assess effectiveness and mitigate riskDevelop clear, concise audit documentation including narratives, flowcharts, and testing resultsCommunicate audit observations and risk impacts to stakeholders at all levelsPrepare, write, and present final audit reportsProvide regular status updates to leadership and audit partnersMentor and coach junior auditors, supporting their developmentDelegate work, review output, and provide feedback when partnering with other auditorsWhat You'll Have an Immediate Impact OnStrengthening controls that protect clients and Financial AdvisorsEnhancing risk management practices across multiple business areasSupporting cross-divisional audit initiatives that drive firm prioritiesDeveloping team members and contributing to a high-performing audit cultureRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business or related field3+ years of public accounting and/or Internal Audit experience, including:Understanding of audit lifecycle (planning, fieldwork, reporting)Experience with audit documentation (process narratives, flowcharts, testing results, audit reports)Experience performing risk assessments and defining audit scopeAbility to identify risks and controls, design testing, and evaluate effectivenessPreferred Qualifications / What Could Set You ApartActive CPA, CIA, or CFE certificationGraduate degree in Accounting or FinanceKnowledge of GAAP and familiarity with IIA StandardsExperience in banking, trust, or fiduciary environmentsCandidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week.
