Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility in the work setting while maintaining a connection with the supportive and closely-knit team at Lighthouse Psychiatry Counseling Center. You will have the autonomy to manage your work schedule primarily between Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, while also accommodating varying patient needs. We leverage telehealth technology to ensure that our clients receive consistent and effective care from the comfort of their homes.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to gain insights into patients' unique life experiences, background, and mental health concerns.

• Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based interventions tailored to each patient's cultural context and personal challenges.
\n
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic modalities to foster resilience, coping skills, and overall well-being.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic, coordinated care while actively participating in interdisciplinary team meetings.

• Provide crisis intervention support for patients experiencing acute mental health emergencies, ensuring they receive timely assistance and appropriate resources.

• Educate patients and their families regarding mental health conditions and available treatment options and support them in navigating community resources.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation of therapy sessions and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and integrity of patient records.

• Engage in continuing education opportunities, actively seeking to stay informed about advancements in mental health practice, and contribute to ongoing cultural competency training sessions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or a related field.

• Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.

• A profound understanding of cultural competence and the ability to address and incorporate the diverse backgrounds of our client population into clinical practices.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of experience providing direct mental health counseling or therapy, particularly with diverse populations.
