Finance Transformation AI Manager

The Finance Transformation AI Manager is responsible for leading the design, development, and deployment of AI-enabled finance solutions for Controllership and FP&A functions across multiple client engagements. This role blends deep finance domain expertise with advanced analytics, AI engineering, and to deliver high-quality outcomes aligned with client business objectives.Managers are expected to lead proposal development, supervise teams, oversee delivery quality, manage budgets and timelines, and contribute to practice growth initiatives. They work closely with clients to understand operational processes and translate business needs into scalable data and AI solutions.Your day-to-day may include:Lead end-to-end delivery of finance AI solutions, including planning, execution, monitoring, and stakeholder reportingDesign and deploy predictive, generative, and optimization models for finance use cases (close acceleration, forecasting, anomaly detection, reconciliations, working capital optimization)Architect data pipelines and feature engineering frameworks supporting financial datasetsSupervise, coach, and mentor staff, review work products and ensure adherence to quality standardsTranslate complex technical outputs into business insights for finance usersManage engagement budgets, timelines, and resource allocationsCollaborate with client stakeholders to understand operations and align deliverables with business objectivesSupport proposal development, solution demonstrations, and business development initiativesLead proposal development and business development collateral developmentMaintain strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisorStay current with emerging AI technologies and finance regulations impacting client environmentsDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and simultaneous projectsStrong interpersonal, communication, and client-service skillsCommitment to professional development and continuous learningMeet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization)Other duties as assignedYou have the following technical skills or qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and minor in Data Science6+ years of progressive experience in analytics, finance transformation, or advisory rolesAbility to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholdersExperience working directly with client personnel at multiple organizational levels. Experience implementing AI solutions for finance functionsRapid prototype development using Replit, Cursor or similar platformKnowledge of finance processes, accounting, reporting frameworks, and regulatory environmentsAI/ML: Agentic AI, LLMs, predictive modeling, NLP, time-series forecasting, optimizationProgramming: Python, SQL, or equivalent data languagesData Platforms: Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, GCPFinance Systems: Financial data warehouses, EPM, ERP integrationData Engineering: ETL pipelines, data modeling, query optimization Can travel as needed. Expected travel is up to 30%The base salary range for this position is between $147,200 and $196,880. Placement within the pay range is at Grant Thornton’s discretion, and it is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, job -related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, progression within the role, geographic location, and internal equity.
