Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 10-bed admission Med/Surg unit for general medical and waiting-for-surgery patients
- Monitor patient status, perform assessments, administer medications, manage IVs, and assist with procedures within scope
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the health care team; work independently to support rapid patient turnover
- Admit and discharge patients as part of a fast-paced unit; maintain a 5:1 patient-to-RN ratio
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses; ensure accurate handoffs and charting
- Maintain safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance; respond to emergencies per policy (BLS/ACLS)

Requirements
- Active RN license in Georgia (Nursys verification preferred)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum of 2 years Med/Surg RN experience
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a fast-paced admission unit
- RN degree from an accredited nursing program
