Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for medical and surgical patients on a 10-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit, including rapid admissions and transfers
- Monitor and respond to patient conditions, assess vitals, and interpret telemetry data; administer medications and therapies per physician orders
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate admissions, procedures, and discharge planning
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately in the electronic health record
- Communicate clearly with patients and families; uphold patient safety, infection control, and unit policies
- Maintain appropriate patient load and efficiency on a fast-turnover unit, with a patient ratio around 5:1 for Med/Surg RNs

Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license with Nursys verification; active in good standing
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg and/or Telemetry experience
- Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and thrive in a high-turnover admission setting
- Minimum expectations for candidate profile: work history/resume with no gaps greater than 60 days, Skills Checklist, references, certification card
- Experience on a telemetry-enabled Med/Surg unit and comfort with rapid patient turnover
