Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews and documentation of client cases from the first consultation through to the conclusion of treatment.

• Assess mental, behavioral, and emotional health needs to inform diagnosis and treatment decisions.

• Create individualized intervention and recovery plans for diverse client groups, including individuals, couples, families, and support groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging and supportive individual and group therapy sessions tailored to the unique needs of clients.
\n
• Monitor client progress regularly to adjust treatment plans in alignment with therapeutic goals.
\n
• Collaborate with a team of mental health specialists, physicians, and social workers to develop and enhance intervention strategies.

• Provide follow-up support and coordination with healthcare providers for clients needing additional medical interventions.

• Conduct regular evaluations to identify and mitigate any behaviors that may hinder the recovery process.

• Assist family members and caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges within their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will involve working with a diverse clientele that spans various age groups and backgrounds, each facing unique mental health challenges. The patients you serve will include individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral disorders, as well as couples and families navigating complex relational dynamics. Your expertise will empower clients to overcome their challenges and achieve a greater quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in California.
\n
• Successful passing of the NCE or NCMHCE.

• Demonstrated experience working as a mental health counselor, particularly in a therapeutic setting.

• Proficiency in electronic health record management systems such as AVATAR.
\n
• Expertise in addressing the intersection between physical health and mental health issues, particularly addiction disorders.
\n
• Familiarity with best practices per the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Strong understanding of psychotropic medications and their implications in treatment plans.
\n
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills, facilitating effective client interactions.
\n
• Empathetic and compassionate approach to counseling that inspires trust and promotes healing.

Compensation and Benefits\n
